He and the driver will take you across the city heading north to New Guatavita town. After a two-hour drive from busy Bogota, you will get to the first stop in the town. Here, with the views of Tominé reservoir you will hear the story of how come there is a town submerged beneath and why it was flooded. Venture afterwards to the mystic Lake Guatavita. To discover what this unique ecosystem has to offer there is a short hike to the lake you will have to accomplish. On the shores of the lake, you will hear the old indigenous traditions that gave this lake its renown and the possible reasons behind the wonderous legend. You’ll find a place rich with colonial history and indigenous mythologies. Once the guided tour at the lake finishes, you will be able to choose enjoying a traditional lunch.
